UI/UX & Product Experience | Micro-Internship & Summer Learning Journey
About the Role
This summer internship is designed as a hands-on learning journey into UI/UX design, product development, and real-world platform improvement, with exposure to cybersecurity fundamentals.
Interns will work with the team behind FindABlackAgent.com (FABA) — a national platform connecting homebuyers, sellers, and investors with top-performing Black real estate professionals across the United States. Today, the platform includes 600+ agents across more than 5,000 cities, and is expanding through the development of MorganAI, an intelligent matching system designed to connect consumers with the right real estate professionals based on market conditions, client objectives, readiness, and agent expertise.
Throughout the summer, interns will focus on improving user experience and interface design across the platform, while also learning how usability, trust, and security intersect in modern digital products.
This program combines:
• Hands-on UI/UX and product work
• direct mentorship
• live platform testing (experience + usability + light security awareness)
• exposure to industry professionals
Interns will participate in weekly learning sessions and webinars with professionals working in product design, technology, cybersecurity, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
The goal is simple: learn how to design and improve real user experiences while contributing to a live national platform.
What You’ll Do
Interns will contribute to improving the FindABlackAgent.com platform while learning how real product and design teams operate.
UI/UX Design & Product Experience (PRIMARY FOCUS)
• Analyze and improve user experience across agent profiles, city pages, and core flows
• Evaluate navigation, layout, and content clarity across the platform
• Identify friction points in the user journey (search → match → connect)
• Propose UI/UX improvements based on user behavior and feedback
• Assist in refining how information is presented to increase trust and conversion
Product Testing & Experience Validation
• Participate in testing new features and workflows before release
• Conduct usability testing and document findings
• Identify bugs, inconsistencies, and experience gaps
• Help prioritize improvements based on impact
Cyber Awareness in UX (SUPPORTING COMPONENT)
Interns will gain exposure to how good UX and security work together to create trustworthy platforms.
• Evaluate user flows for trust, privacy, and clarity (forms, data entry, contact flows)
• Identify areas where users may feel uncertain or unsafe (e.g., unclear data usage, broken flows)
• Participate in basic, supervised vulnerability awareness exercises (non-invasive)
• Learn foundational concepts like secure forms, authentication flows, and data handling
• Document observations that improve both user trust and platform integrity
This is not a pure cybersecurity role — it’s about understanding how design decisions impact trust and safety.
User Research & Feedback
• Conduct interviews with agents, consumers, and partners
• Gather qualitative feedback on platform usability
• Translate insights into actionable UI/UX improvements
Systems & Platform Exposure
Interns will also gain exposure to tools and systems that power digital products:
• Webflow CMS
• CRM and lead management workflows
• automation tools used to scale platforms
• how design decisions connect to backend systems
Learning Experience
Throughout the summer interns will participate in:
• Weekly sessions with professionals across product design, tech, cybersecurity, and startups
• conversations with founders, operators, and designers
• collaborative discussions on building intuitive, scalable platforms
