Community Correspondents are not just interviewers. They are connectors, storytellers, and brand stewards who help bring the national FABA mission to life at the local level.

About the Role

We’re seeking confident, community-oriented professionals to serve as stand-in hosts for The Kitchen Table across cities and regions nationwide. As a Community Correspondent, you will lead interviews with local real estate agents and ecosystem partners, helping surface real conversations around housing, wealth-building, and community impact.

You’ll work closely with the FABA production team, following a clear interview format and content cadence, while bringing your own local insight and personality to the table.

This is a flexible, media-forward role ideal for professionals who enjoy conversation, visibility, and community-building.

  • Interview Black real estate agents and industry professionals using FABA’s interview framework
  • Represent the FABA brand with professionalism, warmth, and cultural awareness
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with guests and the FABA production team
  • Follow standardized talking points while adding relevant local context
  • Help spotlight local markets, trends, and community stories
  • Participate in occasional live or recorded sessions (remote or in-person)
  • Support special content initiatives, city spotlights, or sponsored episodes as needed

Who You Are

  • Strong communicator who is comfortable on camera and in conversation
  • Relationship-driven and respected within your local or professional community
  • Reliable, prepared, and able to follow a consistent content format
  • Interested in real estate, community development, or entrepreneurship
  • Aligned with FABA’s mission of equity, access, and representation
  • Prior hosting, podcasting, media, or public-speaking experience is a plus (not required)

Time Commitment

  • Flexible, part-time, and project-based
  • Typically 1–4 interview sessions per month, depending on market activity

Compensation

As an early-stage platform, FABA offers flexible and creative compensation structures based on contribution, consistency, and market impact.

Potential structures include:

  • Per-Interview or Monthly Stipend — compensation tied to hosted sessions or content volume
  • Visibility & Brand Equity — featured placement across FABA media and channels
  • Performance-Based Bonuses — tied to sponsored content, partnerships, or special initiatives
  • Future Opportunities — priority consideration for expanded roles as FABA grows
