About the Role

This summer internship is designed as a hands-on learning journey in business development, market research, and startup growth strategy.

Interns will work with the team behind FindABlackAgent.com (FABA) — a national real estate technology platform connecting homebuyers, sellers, and investors with top-performing Black real estate professionals across the United States. The platform currently includes 600+ agents across more than 5,000 cities, and continues to expand through partnerships, agent recruitment, and the development of MorganAI, an intelligent system designed to match clients with agents based on market conditions, client objectives, readiness, and professional expertise.

This role focuses on helping the platform expand its national footprint by identifying high-opportunity markets, building relationships with industry professionals, and supporting agent recruitment and onboarding.

Throughout the summer, interns will gain exposure to real startup business development and marketplace growth strategies, while contributing to meaningful projects that support the expansion of the platform.

Interns will also participate in weekly webinars and conversations with professionals across real estate, finance, entrepreneurship, and technology, giving them insight into multiple career paths connected to the industry.

The goal is simple: learn how real marketplaces grow by helping one scale in real time.

What You’ll Do

Market Research & Opportunity Mapping

• Research and identify real estate agents in high-demand markets using tools such as MLS databases, LinkedIn, and public directories
• Analyze housing market data and agent density across cities
• Help identify underserved markets where the platform can expand
• Assist in building “opportunity maps” that highlight priority cities for recruitment and growth

Business Development & Outreach

• Support outreach to real estate professionals interested in joining the platform
• Send invitations and follow-up communications with prospective agents
• Assist with onboarding calls and help guide agents through completing their platform profiles
• Help strengthen relationships with local brokerages, real estate professionals, and ecosystem partners

Competitive & Industry Research

• Benchmark major platforms such as Zillow and Realtor.com to understand how they recruit and position agents
• Identify gaps and opportunities where FindABlackAgent.com can differentiate itself
• Assist with research on emerging real estate and housing market trends

Partnerships & Community Engagement

• Connect with real estate clubs, entrepreneurship groups, and university organizations
• Assist with outreach to HBCU real estate programs and student organizations
• Help identify opportunities to build awareness through community and professional networks

Growth Strategy & Reporting

• Track weekly growth metrics such as:

  • Agent sign-ups
  • Outreach response rates
  • Onboarding completion
  • City coverage expansion

• Help organize insights into reports and presentations used internally by the team

Business Development Materials

• Assist with drafting outreach templates and communication materials
• Help prepare pitch decks, partnership summaries, and sponsorship materials
• Support documentation of growth initiatives and strategy discussions

Learning Experience

This internship exposes students to how real technology marketplaces grow and scale.

Throughout the summer interns will participate in:

Weekly learning sessions and webinars with professionals across real estate, finance, technology, and entrepreneurship
• Conversations with founders and operators about building startups
• Collaborative discussions around market trends, partnerships, and growth strategy

These sessions allow interns to learn directly from professionals actively working in the industry.

Who You Are

General Expectations

5–10 hours per week (flexible around class schedules)
• Ability to work independently while staying connected with the team
• Participation in weekly check-ins and learning sessions
• Completion of assigned research and outreach projects
